Free eBooks: Windows 8 Tablets For Teaching and Learning
Welcome to the ITC Chronicles blog.I have had much interest in recent postings from the ITC Chronicles blog since I first began blogging about the new Windows 8 tablets coming to market from a teaching and learning perspective. Since there has been so much interest have I decided to compile all of my Windows 8 tablet related blog postings about into two eBooks (PDFs) that you can download for free as a thank you to readers of this blog.
I have kept the links active in the PDFs so if you have an Internet connection you should be able to view linked content including some YouTube videos that I created to demonstrate the capabilities of the Surface Pro in particular.
Below are the links to download the free PDFs (no signup required)
I have learned much from blogging these experiences and am very optimistic about the new possibilities these new devices offer teachers and students. The new Windows 8 touchscreen devices with digital pen input offer much for teachers and students including new digital inking for taking notes, creating artwork, and annotating instructional materials on the fly.
You will also find a couple of entries about the OneNote program that I believe is one of the most under utilized applications that can benefit teachers and students. Using OneNote for note taking can essentially replace interactive whiteboard applications and when used in conjunction with Skydrive offers unprecedented sharing capability with fellow teachers and students. When it comes to teaching and learning there is much indeed to like about the new Windows 8 tablets.
Enjoy!
Keep on Learning,
